Detroit Man Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl and Heroin in Ashland, Tri-State Area

On Monday, February 11, 2019, a Detroit man was sentenced for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and heroin. In April 2017, the Huntington FBI Task Force, in conjunction with Ashland Police and Kentucky State Police, seized 209 grams of fentanyl, which 33-year-old Leonard Wright transported to the Tri-State area of Ashland, Huntington, and Ironton. Wright entered a guilty plea in September 2018 to orchestrating the delivery of fentanyl and heroin. Wright was sentenced to 156 months in federal prison.
