On Saturday, February 23, 2019, the Drug Interdiction Cooperative Enforcement officers in Louisa conducted a disturbance investigation in front of D&J Tobacco. During the investigation, it was discovered 42-year-old Everett Spurlock of Wakefield had an active bench warrant and was arrested. He was also discovered to be in possession of suboxone, neurontin, methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Additionally, officers arrested 32-year-old Natasha Alley of Kermit on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia containing crystal methamphetamine.
