On Monday, March 18, 2019, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office placed additional charges on 32-year-old Danny Colinger of Corbin. Colinger was arrested on March 8, 2019 following an investigation of a female juvenile sexual assault complaint. During the initial investigation, it was learned that the subject had allegedly provided alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 and allegedly had sexual contact with a female juvenile. During the continuing investigation, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office determined that Colinger allegedly had sexual intercourse with a female juvenile victim on multiple occasions. Colinger was charged with rape, sodomy, wanton endangerment, and sexual abuse. He remains lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
