Two Florida men have pleaded guilty to fraud after conning a Louisville woman out of more than $104,000. Manfred Sinclair, 40, and Rony Meza, 50, both of Miami, Florida, were sentenced and ordered to pay restitution to the victim in Jefferson Circuit Court. Between October 2015 and April 2016, the defendants carried out a phone scam that led an 81-year-old victim to believe she won a $7.5 million lottery and needed to send tax money to claim her prize. Sinclair and Meza both pled guilty to one count each of theft and wanton exploitation. They were sentenced to five years for each charge to run concurrently, which were diverted for five year, or until restitution is paid in full.
