The Weber Art Gallery at the University of Pikeville is currently featuring the works of graduating senior Mari Ralston. The senior art exhibit meets part of the exit requirements for a graduation art major and reflects the student’s development and interests over their time at UPIKE. Ralston’s show, “Forms of Art in Everyday Life,” features sculpture, handmade books, paintings, drawings, and design. A native of Brazil, Ralston is inspired by Brazilian art and said her strength in her artwork is to observe everyday life and be inspired by simple moments. The art show will run through May 4, 2019. Ralston will discuss her artwork during a reception on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 5pm.
