The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint off German Lane Around 1pm Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies located a dark blue Dodge Dakota sitting in the driveway of an abandoned house there and conducted an investigation on its occupant, identified as 36-year-old David Cobb of Barbourville, who was determined to be under the influence. Additionally, the subject was found to be in possession of Suboxone that he had no prescription for. Cobb was charged with public intoxication, possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
