Two Indicted on Abuse Charges in Sandy Hook

On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, Kentucky State Police Detective David Zimmerman presented his investigation of a suspected criminal abuse incident in Sandy Hook from March 2019 to the Elliot County Grand Jury. Indictment were returned on two individuals, Ronald Stinespring and Ty Stinespring. Charges against Ronald Stinespring include rape, sodomy, incest, sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years of age, criminal abuse, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Charges against Ty Stinespring are complicity to commit criminal abuse. On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, the indictment warrants were served on both individuals. Both were lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center with Ronald Stinespring being held on a $500,000 cash bond, and Ty Stinespring held on a $15,000 cash bond. The incident remains under investigation.
